Sleep Suggestions for Those with PTSD

Sleepopolis.com may not be the first place you’d look for advice or PTSD, but a local science student recently brought an article to the attention of the Board because of an article that may be of use to people in Clay, Platte or Ray County.

Sleepopolis.com was created to review mattresses and sleep items like special pillows. They also have a robust range of articles on various topics, including the recent “PTSD and Sleep.”

Although we do not endorse any products or similar offerings, the article has some excellent ideas on people who have sleeping, including those dealing with post-traumatic stress syndrome. Many of the suggested solutions would likely be helpful for many who deal with mental health issues.

The article also includes a great list of links for sites related to this topic.

You can get a good idea of the tone of the article from this comment: “If you are experiencing problems falling asleep or staying asleep at night, you may sleep better if you make some changes. Many adjustments are minor in nature but can still have a positive impact. When you make changes, follow through with the changes for several nights to see an improvement.”
