Suicide Prevention Information Increasingly Important

With all of the tragic headlines regarding suicide among young people, adults and others, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) offers some excellent information that is easily accessible on this page of their website.

Locally, many of the organizations funded by the Mental Health Board of Trustees can also help. Tri-County Mental Health Services is an excellent example, but several other organizations that we link with may help as well. Go here for a complete list.

NAMI’s Preventing Suicide webpage is a good starting point for easily accessible information. The organization notes that having a loved on showing signs of suicidal thought can be an almost overwhelming challenge. NAMI’s suggestions are both practical and comprehensive.
