Improving the availability of inclusive mental health
services for all residents in Clay, Platte and Ray counties.

Detention Centers of Clay, Platte and Ray Counties

Locations are in detention centers throughout Clay, Platte and Ray Counties, including each county jail and other sites.

In 1997, Tri-County Mental Health Services, Inc. began providing services to inmates that include psychiatric evaluation, medication treatment recommendations, mental health/substance abuse assessments, crisis intervention, suicide assessment, intervention and recommendation.

In 1999 the agency expanded service delivery to include substance abuse and anger management process groups.

This program meets the ongoing needs for the Clay, Platte and Ray County Detention Centers to address the mental health/substance use needs of the incarcerated.

Tri-County provides treatment services in the form of individual assessment and counseling; anger management and addiction recovery groups in Clay County.

In the Platte and Ray County Detention Centers, Tri-County provides psychiatric evaluation, medication recommendation and follow up checks in addition to the services provided at Clay County.
