Grandfamilies Group Plans October Meetings

During November, the Northland Grandfamilies and Kinship Group will emphasize the importance of family caregivers.

They will continue to explore ways to care for and nurture ourselves. The in-person and online Nov. 22 meeting will feature a Kinship and GrandFamilies Friendsgiving potluck. This is planned as a casual time for connection, community, relaxation, and self-care before the end of the year hustle and bustle begins! If you care to bring a dish, snack, or something to share, please feel free to do so, but don’t feel obligated.

November is also Family Caregiver Appreciation Month. I am so thankful for a month that highlights the importance and influence of Family Caregivers. Here is a link from the White House about National Family Caregivers Month: A Proclamation on National Family Caregivers Month, 2024 | The White House

Also attached is a flyer on the Nov. 11, Nov. 13 and Nov. 22 meetings with more details, as well as an outline on finding time for selfcare.
