Improving the availability of inclusive mental health
services for all residents in Clay, Platte and Ray counties.
A PBS documentary lauded for its portrayal of mental illness has been archived and is available online.
"The Hidden Pandemic" aired on PBS and is now available on-line.
Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Michael Price captures the lives of local Kansas City people navigating mental illness, a task even more difficult since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through personal interviews with patients and the healthcare professionals who treat them, The Hidden Pandemic exposes the cracks in an already strained healthcare system. A panel discussion hosted by Nick Haines followed the broadcast.
