Tri-County Hosts Family Support Group Meetings

Do you have a loved one living with mental illness? Do you need tips and tools for supporting your friend, family member, or loved one? If so, Tri-County Mental Health Services has two family support group meetings each month that can help.

These informal meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

The meetings are open to all interested persons and are held at Tri-County Mental Health Services, 3100 Ne 83rd Street, Suite 1001, Kansas City, Mo 64119. If you have any questions, call Candis Desselle-Boily at 816-468-0400.

Recent and upcoming meeting topics include:

Feb. 6: Information for care takers in regards to hospitalization Speaker: Brande Rash, Crisis QMPH, Hospital Liaison.

March 6: Consumer and RESPECT Speaker Elizabeth Wilson, Day Program, Kitchen Manager.

April 3: Introduction to Crisis Outreach Case Managers Speaker: Caitlyn Shirk and Marc Muller.

May 1: CIT Officer and Law Enforcement Community Liaison Speaker: Peggy Gorenflo, MSW and Tri-CIT co-chair.

June 5: Family Group Community Speaker Speaker: Wanda Robinson

There are no meetings in July and January.
