Improving the availability of inclusive mental health
services for all residents in Clay, Platte and Ray counties.

Free Program for Veteran Mental Health Sept. 12

Veteran community organizations, Veterans Administration employees, veterans and family members are invited to a mental health recovery event at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12.

The aim of this summit is to help build a stronger network of mental health care providers and allies to improve the lives of Kansas City area veterans. This event features expert advice and insight from local distinguished mental health professionals and individuals committed to veteran success with a special emphasis on community-based suicide prevention.

Members of the KC Metro area mental health community are encouraged to come together, share best practices, and network with colleagues for the health and well being of Kansas City veterans. The Mission of the Summit is to create a welcoming environment that will create new connections and strengthen those that are existing within healthcare and veteran service organizations committed to the psychological well being of our nation's warriors.
