Services for Veterans On Tap March 6

Veterans and those who support them will be interested in a lunchtime discussion March 6 in North Kansas City.

Signature Psychiatric Hospital will bring together every organization serving vets in the Northland into one room. The lunch will be held in the Freedom Cafe located within DesignWerx, 1313 Atlantic, North Kansas City. There is a $5 charge to avoid no shows and cover room costs.

Panelists will give a five-minute overview of their organizations services for vets and answer questions. Participants will include

Kimberly Barlow, Valor Recovery Program; Sarah Weygand, Global Warrior Center at Park University; Melissa Chestnut, Warrior's Best Friend; and Shawn Moore, Caregivers on the Homefront

There will also be booths, handouts and goody bags for attendees to take home from other Northland organizations, including Parkville VFW, Tri-CIT Council, and more. If you're interested in participating in the event, please contact Brenda at bclevenger@sphkc.net. Your organization must located north of the river to be considered.

Food will be provided by Mary's Cakes and Cookies in NKC.

Registration and additional information is available at this link.
