Supporting Mental Health Services for the KC Northland

Since 1980, the Clay, Platte, Ray Mental Health Board of Trustees has provided funding to improve the availability of inclusive mental health services for all residents in the three-county area.

The Mental Health Board supports new and expanded services in Clay, Platte and Ray counties to improve access to mental health care for all residents.

Thanks to the local mental health levy, the Board provides supplemental funding to more than a dozen non-profit organizations in the area. These non-profits in turn provide new and expanded treatment and prevention initiatives for individuals, families, children and adolescents.

The organizations are designated by the Missouri Department of Mental Health and provide services for area residents regardless of their ability to pay. In addition, the Board supports intervention programs provided by the sheriffs' departments and judicial systems in Clay, Platte and Ray counties.
